About Kiera
I am an A-Level Student currently studying English Literature, Maths and Biology. I achieved 5 Grade 9's, 3 Grade 8's and a L2D* at GCSE level. I tutored for a year with a volunteering enterprise and have taught 7 students, all of which have progressed by at least one grade in 8 weeks. I then progressed to work with a tutoring agency, in which I have been tutoring over 30 students for the past year. I have undergone a series of training sessions and have achieved an SSAT award as a result of tutoring. I am also DBS checked.

My teaching method is to focus on the areas that the pupil is struggling with. This can be identified through a conversation with the pupil or the pupil completing a baseline assessment. I initially begin with a starter activity and a thorough explanation of the session. I create a range of engaging activities to ensure that the pupil understands the topic fully. Throughout the lesson, I intertwine explanations and give the pupils a revision guide to refer to. Based on the pupil's needs and the method they best learn, I sometimes incorporate a small progress assessment at the end of the session, and review any misconceptions. I have given tutoring sessions to primary, secondary and GCSE students, and adapt my sessions based on their requirements. I am a friendly, patient and enthusiastic individual who believes that all students can achieve anything they want to.
