About Nicky
I currently work in Secondary Education teaching Key stage 3 Art, GCSE Textiles and A-Level Art.
I studied Writing Fashion and Culture (BA Hons) at Southampton Silent university. I've previously been giving the oppurtunity twice to work with LFW (London Fashion Week) as a stylist. The degree I majored in consisted of fashion photograpgy, journalism, PR Styling, history of art and web design.

Hello! I have over 10 years’ experience of teaching Art at various levels whilst continuing my own artistic practice in sculpture, printmaking and installation.
I also lead adult education classes, which I have done for around 7 years, helping adult learners to discover and incorporate print making processes into their own individual lines of enquiry whilst developing their own artistic practice.
I very much enjoy tutoring and nurturing an individual’s own interest in Fine Art by helping them discover wider context and artistic reference as well as techniques and processes. For me Art can lead a conversation into all aspects of study – Literature, History, Classics, Sociology, Psychology – and I encourage my students to expand their thinking and making conceptual links to support a deeper level of understanding and appreciation.
