About Jinghao
Jinghao Lim was born in Penang, Malaysia. At the age of 13, he joined the Jit Sin Chinese Orchestra and began learning the erhu under the guidance of Malaysian erhu virtuoso Soon Lay Lim, eventually serving as the orchestra's principal erhu player. He is currently studying with Chinese erhu virtuoso Yangzi Liang. He has won several awards, including First Prize in the 29th United States Open Music Competition in 2020, the Gold Award in the He Yue International Online Instrumental Solo Competition in 2020, and the Gold Award in the 4th Nanyang International Music Competition in 2023. Currently, he is a busker in Melbourne and an erhu musician with the Chao Feng Chinese Orchestra and the Hunix Bowed-String Ensemble.

Each lesson is tailored to the student's needs and progress. Whether you are just beginning your erhu journey, refining traditional repertoires, or learning your favorite pop song, I am always ready to provide you with the best learning experience.
Each lesson typically lasts 45 minutes per session, and you can choose to have it weekly or fortnightly.
I have experience in delivering one-on-one lessons as well as guiding Chinese string ensembles. My students have been prize winners in multiple state-level, national, and international erhu competitions.
