About Daisy
Hello! I'm Daisy and I'm a postgraduate student at King's College London and tutor up to A-level. I have a BSc in mathematics from the University of Nottingham.
I've been tutoring for 4 years including a year full time. I've delivered over 2000 hours of online lessons and many face-to-face.
In my lessons I focus on clear explanations and aim to make maths more approachable, especially to those who have struggled or felt less confident in school.
I prefer tutoring 1-1 as it allows me to really get to know my students and their learning style.

Generally students have already identified a few topics they struggle with as a starting point, if you're not sure then I can help identify some areas to focus on.
A good lesson plan varies depending on the student but we will always have a recap of related topics that we may be building on the lesson, examples and explanation as needed and a focus on practice questions. If you are preparing for an exam we can also look at exam technique. I would usually recommend that we focus on one topic at a time and take time to really get the hang of it, rather than rush through lots of content that is difficult to retain.
I always check my lesson content against the national curriculum and/or relevant exam syllabus.
I don't usually set homework (unless requested), but I am happy to provide links to further practice questions
