About Nancy
I am an English and ESL teacher from Chile directly to LSU in Baton Rouge for my grad studies: I ended up with a Ph.D. in Education, specialized in Multicultural Studies and Reading. I am also a librarian from LSU and I have a Master Degree in Applied Linguistics. I have taught at all levels, i.e. Schools and Colleges, in the USA, in Chile and other countries in Latin America. I have travelled extensively and I love music and being in contact with nature.

I base my classes on the Lesson Plan to be followed and own and shared knowledge of the world with the students: to associate what they are learning with the world.
I try to make students communicate in the best possible way, with patience and once the pattern is established, I give them the opportunity to express themselves. I always give them a short assignment for hoe, so they do not get disconnected from class to class as they are learning a language that needs to be constantly used.
