Hello, my name is Alana and I am from the United Kingdom. I am a Cambridge CELTA qualified English language teacher. I am also a History and Politics graduate and Cambridge MPhil student. I have always been deeply interested in languages, speaking French and Portuguese as well as English.

My lessons are very student-centric, meaning that I actively encourage students to use as much English as they possibly can and to figure out things for themselves, rather than my lessons being dominated by the teacher. I have experience in teaching General English to A1-C1 learners. I have recently done an intensive Portuguese language course, so I know the struggles of learning a new language and therefore always have patience with my students. Let's book a trial lesson together! We can discuss your goals and motivations for learning English, what level you are at and how we can best achieve your language goals. As minhas aulas sempre têm o estudante no centro então nunca as domino. Deixo o estudante a falar e encorajo-o a descobrir as coisas por si mesmo quando for possível. Faço isso para que o estudante fique com mais confiança em si. Como já fiz um curso intensivo de português, sempre tenho paciência.
