Mary was my A-level Chemistry teacher, she's a lovely and very approachable person and a pleasure to have been taught by. I never liked Chemistry at A-level to the point of wanting to drop the subject, but Mary and my other A-level Chemistry teacher turned that around for me and I took a liking to it and now I'm doing a PhD in Chemistry! She's very passionate about women in science and widening participation and that's really important to me as a student!
