About Sherry
Hello, I am a native person from Guangdong, China. And now, I am living in the UK. My mission is to pursue an easier way and to find a more understandable way for my students.
With three years of experience in language education, I have developed a teaching methodology for Chinese language learning to be effective and understandable. My classes are tailored to meet the unique needs of each student, ensuring that they receive the support and guidance necessary to achieve their goals.
Language learning is a deeply personal and transformative process. My mission is to make this journey as smooth and effective as possible for my students. I am a good listener. My teaching style is to teach in a faster and effective way with customised plans for you. What's more, I will create natural conversations with your preferred topics. I am patient and friendly. I will listen your story and correct your grammar if it is necessary. More importantly, I will give you feedback before we finish the class. I want to create a comfortable environment that make you passionate to keep speaking. I am currently learning Japanese as well as English and I understand that how to learn a new language effectively! You won't be nervous when you are talking with me!
I always prepare your classes in advance. I am very happy if you want to message me for your learning goals, for example:
1. The type of language that you want to learn, Cantonese or Mandarin.
2. The topics or goals that you want to focus, role play, normal conversation, reading, shadowing etc.
If you are a busy student, we could have our lessons via telephone lessons, this will save lots of time and more flexibly, and you will keep learning as well!

Xueying is a great teacher, very encouraging and fun. I started with no prior Cantonese knowledge and she helped me by tailoring our classes to what I needed that particular week. I have learnt a variety of vocab and conversational structures which I didn’t think I would be able to do. I come away from each lesson having learnt so much and a lot of confidence in speaking.
