About the lesson

I am an advocate for the love of learning and instil it in my teaching. My approach includes pedagogical methods such as questioning (with Bloom's Taxonomy) and the Magenta Principles.

These methods encourage a curiosity and flow that is tailored to the student's needs and progression, reflected in 100% of my students exceeding their predicted grades, with 90% improving by 2 or more grades, and 25% achieving 3 grades above.

Whether it's to prepare for upcoming exams or essays, grow confidence in class or to further develop skills, I provide the highest quality tuition.

Perfect! My child greatly benefited from tuition in the lead-up to their GCSEs. Ben was personable, professional and patient, helping to build my child’s confidence in English. This was particularly valuable as my child has dyslexia and had missed a substantial amount of school due to illness. Ben was understanding of their individual needs and provided much-needed support and encouragement. I would highly recommend their tutoring services.

Perfect! Ben was very nice and friendly. He worked out my daughter's weakness in IGCSE English and Literature very quickly in the first 30-minute session. My daughter feels confident that with Ben's help, she will be ready for the coming exams.

Perfect! My daughter has recently started having English Literature lessons with Ben which appear to be going very well so far! He is very good at establishing a positive student/tutor connection and takes the lessons at a manageable pace with a patient approach which suits my daughter. She has come away from the lessons feeling curious and open to learning which is a really good start and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Ben if you're looking for an English tutor.

Ben has done some tutoring for my 3 children.
I was worried they wouldnt engage, or one would get bored because of the age gap
He had all 3 engaged in the lesson straight away, my youngest didnt once complain anything was to hard, she enjoys Bens lessons and looms forward to the next ones,
My son, who usually enjoys maths more, was asking, when are we next seeing Ben?
He adapts the lesson to each child and makrs the learning fun for them.
100% the best Englist tutor you could find.

Yes, confident, able to manage difficult young people whilst not letting it effect the wider group. Engaging and has a versatile range of subjects.

My daughter has been attending sessions as a group since April 2022 and will return in September for English and drama.
