About Tom
I am an experienced Head of Humanities, I have also worked as a Head of Year and so know how to best meet the needs of all pupils. I have a love and passion for Geography which I hope will inspire confidence! In addition to this, I have a degree in Business and Tourism, plus large experience of teaching History. 30-60 minute sessions. In order for sessions to be most effective and pitched to the correct level, I would need to know the pupils target grade (for GCSE) and areas they are struggling with. If possible, the order of topics taught by the school. I believe that building pupils confidence is the key to success. I like sessions to be pupil led, whereby they let me know of areas they are struggling on and would like to work on. Sessions would typically consist of reviewing the content, before attempting an exam style question/questions and they marking together. Sessions are flexible depending on the needs of the pupil.
