About Michael
I have taught math, physics, and computer programming as a college professor for more than 5 years now. I earned my Ph.D. in physics from Penn State University, my M.S. in physics and agronomy at the University of Illinois, and my B.S. in physics (with a math minor) from Illinois State University.
I understand how frustrating it can be to not understand something, and I will never shame you for not knowing something you feel like you're supposed to know. I will do whatever I can to make sure you "get it!"

Math is hard: I can help. With practice, you WILL get better at it. I will meet you at your level. A typical lesson plan would involve reviewing the basics of the topic we're working on, working through several examples together, and then having you try a few problems on your own (with me there to help you if you get stuck!).
I have more than 5 years of experience as a university professor, as well as 10+ years of experience as a teaching assistant. I love teaching, and my students appreciate my ability to explain ideas in multiple ways. I'll keep trying until you get it!
My lessons will be aimed at your level, which can be anything from middle school through college level math or physics subjects.
