About Emily
I bring over five years of experience as a bedside nurse, travel nurse, and currently as an Integrative Oncology Nurse Navigator. Throughout my nursing journey, I have developed a deep passion for supporting patients and their families, as well as for empowering nursing students to succeed.
I’ve personally experienced the challenges of nursing school and understand what it’s like to need extra guidance and encouragement. That’s why I’m dedicated to being the supportive mentor and tutor I wish I had—helping students build confidence, master complex concepts, and feel truly prepared for their exams and clinical practice.
Beyond nursing, I love traveling, practicing holistic care, and spending time with my loyal golden retriever, who never fails to brighten my day. I believe that nursing is both a science and an art, and I strive to bring warmth, empathy, and real-world insight into every tutoring session.

My lessons are supportive, structured, and tailored to each student’s goals and learning style. I focus on helping nursing students and NCLEX candidates build strong clinical reasoning, confidence, and test-taking skills rather than memorizing content.
A typical session begins with identifying areas of difficulty, followed by clear explanations using real-world clinical examples from oncology and acute care nursing. I incorporate practice questions, prioritization strategies, and application-based learning to reinforce understanding and improve performance.
What sets me apart is my background as a practicing oncology nurse and nurse navigator. I have worked as a travel nurse which gives me experience through multiple healthcare systems. I bring a patient-centered, holistic perspective to teaching, emphasizing symptom management, communication, and critical thinking skills that translate directly to both exams and clinical practice.
My lessons are ideal for nursing students at any level, recent graduates preparing for the NCLEX, or nurses seeking additional support in oncology-related topics.
