• Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

  Mathematics is a fascinating subject that explains the world around us. My interest began while preparing for competitive exams like IIT JEE, GATE, and college exams, driven by a love for puzzles and logical challenges. Inspiring teachers further fueled my passion. I realized that mathematics is not just about numbers but a way of thinking critically and solving problems. As a teacher, I strive to make complex ideas accessible and to inspire a love for math in my students, showing its relevance and beauty in everyday life.

• What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

  My motivation to teach mathematics comes from my own early struggles with the subject. I used to score low marks and had a persistent fear that math was too difficult. Determined to overcome this, I put in continuous effort to learn and understand mathematical concepts. Gradually, I started enjoying math and discovered that with the right approach, it can be made simple and enjoyable. This personal journey inspired me to teach math, aiming to help students who share similar fears. My goal is to show them that with patience and the right guidance, they too can excel and find joy in mathematics.

• How does your work help society?

  My work as a mathematics teacher contributes to society in several meaningful ways. From my college days, I have been teaching not only my peers but also school students, fostering a strong foundation in mathematics for many. During weekends, I actively participate in college programs and volunteer my time teaching children in government schools and NGOs. By doing so, I help bridge educational gaps and provide quality education to underprivileged students. My goal is to equip these students with the skills and confidence they need to succeed, helping to create a more educated and fair society.

• If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

  My role model is my coaching teacher during my IIT-JEE preparation. He not only strengthened my math skills but also inspired a genuine interest in the subject. His dedication and passion for teaching continue to inspire me. Thanks to his guidance, I succeeded in the competitive exam and gained admission to the National Institute of Technology (NIT Raipur), where I further honed my mathematical abilities.

• Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

  Outside of teaching, I enjoy coding websites, playing badminton and pool, reading spiritual books, experimenting with cooking, and engaging in social work. These activities provide me with relaxation, creativity, and fulfillment beyond the classroom.

• Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

  Absolutely! I once had a 12th-grade student who approached me just 10 days before his exam, filled with fear. Despite his background in business and finance, he was determined to succeed. Over those intense 10 days, with his trust and dedication, we worked tirelessly together, and he not only cleared the exam but exceeded his expectations. It was a powerful reminder of the impact personalized education can have. Interestingly, I met this student through Superprof and this student later shared a review on my Superprof profile, highlighting the journey we undertook together and the positive outcomes achieved through our collaborative efforts.
