About Ayla
I am a professional piano tutor with 11 years of teaching experience and a successful record of training around 300 students. My learners include high school and college students, as well as adults who want to develop technical skill, performance confidence, and musical understanding.
My teaching philosophy balances structured learning with encouragement and creativity. I focus on developing a solid technical foundation, including finger control, hand coordination, rhythm, scales, chord transitions, and sight-reading. I also emphasise musicality, phrasing, and expressive interpretation to help students communicate emotion through music.
Each lesson is carefully planned with technical exercises, theory application, repertoire practice, and performance preparation. I adapt lessons to suit individual goals, whether students are preparing for graded exams, recitals, or personal enjoyment.
Many of my students have achieved excellent results in examinations and demonstrated impressive stage confidence. I am committed to guiding each student with patience, structure, and motivation to help them unlock their full potential and foster a lifelong passion for piano.

My methodology for piano teaching emphasises communication, creativity, flexibility, and goal-oriented progress. I believe students learn best when they clearly understand the structure and emotion behind music. I focus on technical skills such as finger strength, coordination, dynamic control, and rhythm accuracy.
Each concept is explained in simple language and supported with demonstrations. Communication builds trust and motivation, helping students stay focused on improvement. Creativity allows students to interpret pieces with feeling and develop their own musical voice. I encourage experimentation with tempo, phrasing, and style.
Flexibility ensures that lessons are customised according to student goals, whether academic exams, competitions, or hobby learning. I also include theory lessons, harmony studies, and ear training exercises to strengthen musicianship. My goal is to inspire discipline, confidence, and long-term dedication to piano learning.
