About Ashleigh
I am Ashleigh and I have several years experience as a primary school teacher in the UK. I now no longer teach but still work with primary, middle and secondary schools across the country, including academies doing consultation work on things such as behaviour, assessment and progress.
I find that pupils I have taught and privately tutored previously feel at ease, learning with my approach. I find out about the child to see what their interests are so that I can include interests in tasks, questions and general learning where possible.

Sometimes it takes a little extra support to feel confident with different skills and understanding. I am very professional and patient in my approach. I have lots of experience teaching children from 5-11 years old and older in some subjects. I have taken several cohorts through the UK SATS and prepared some children for the 11+ testing. I am friendly and make learning easygoing for children so they enjoy those areas they find harder. I tutor for Y6 to Y7 maths to help with the transition from Primary to secondary content.
* Please be aware that from the planned start time of the session, I will wait 10 minutes to begin but if you are later than this with no communication then the session will not go ahead and you will still be charged. A few mins in I will send a reminder message/check in with you.
As noted on my tutor profile, I tutor online only and use the Superprof video call to tutor.
For small groups of children there will be an additional charge but please chat to me if this is something you might need.
** As of 1st March 2026, my price will be changing to £33 per hour. I have seen an increase in cost for my resources and this is still a competitive compared to other tutors with my level of qualifications and experience.

Perfect! Ashleigh is a great tutor, she explains concepts clearly with multiple methods and also thoroughly checks understanding and retention before moving on to the next step.

Perfect! Ashleigh has been helping my 6 year old son for sometime now with his reading and writing. Her patience and ability to engage him are outstanding. She consistently tailors her teaching methods to match his needs and interests, which has helped spark his enthusiasm for learning.
- Felix is a lovely child with real enthusiasm. He sometimes gets distracted during lessons but gets back on track with gentle reminders. Ashleigh really helped my son with maths and English. My son has dyslexia and she supported his needs throughout each lesson and made it very engaging for him. He made lots of progress with her and his confidence was boosted.
