About Adriano
My name is Adriano, and I am a Biotechnologist and Bioinformatician with strong experience in Chemistry, Biology, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Statistics tutoring, from GCSE through to university level.
I have been supporting students since I was 13, initially helping classmates in school and continuing throughout my academic and professional career. I also worked as an online tutor for Tutor.com for 3 years, where I helped students improve their understanding of Chemistry and general Science.
In addition, I have experience as a Teaching Assistant in Organic Chemistry Laboratory and Statistics & Data Processing at the National University of Rosario, where I supported students with both practical and analytical learning.
I specialise in helping students who find Science or Statistics challenging. My approach is calm, patient, and highly structured. I focus on identifying exactly where confusion starts, then rebuilding understanding step by step until the student feels confident and independent.
I teach both online and in-person in Dundee, supporting GCSE, A-Level, university students, and adult learners.

Lessons are structured around active problem-solving and clear understanding, rather than passive explanation. The main focus is to help students move from confusion to confidence through guided practice.
Each lesson begins by identifying the specific topic or type of question the student is struggling with. From there, we work through problems step by step, breaking down concepts in a simple and logical way until the underlying idea becomes clear.
I use a collaborative approach, asking questions throughout the lesson to understand how the student is thinking and to identify exactly where misunderstandings occur. This allows us to fix the root cause of the problem, not just the symptoms.
Depending on the subject, lessons may include exam-style questions, conceptual explanations, diagrams, or real-world applications to strengthen understanding and memory.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes, but can be adapted depending on the student’s needs, level, and goals. I adjust pace and content for GCSE, A-Level, university students, and adult learners.
My goal in every lesson is not just to complete exercises, but to build long-term understanding, confidence, and independent problem-solving ability.
