About Jane
I have supported students in science who have gone on to improve their grades significantly, and in some cases, I have had students return to continue lessons with me specifically after seeing progress in their results and confidence. This reflects my focus on clear explanations, structured learning, and consistent support.
My teaching style is patient, approachable, and tailored to each individual student. I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing a deeper understanding of science, rather than simply memorising content.
I take pride in helping students improve not only their academic performance, but also their confidence in tackling exam questions independently.

My approach to tutoring is focused on building deep understanding and exam confidence, rather than rushing through content. I believe students perform best when they truly understand concepts, so I take a patient and structured approach tailored to each individual learner.
A key part of my teaching method is the use of past paper practice and exam-style questions, as this helps students become familiar with how topics are assessed and how to structure high-scoring answers. I focus on breaking down mark schemes so students understand exactly what examiners are looking for.
Each lesson is typically 1 hour long, although this can be adjusted depending on the student’s needs and goals.
