About Paul
I have been an English Language teacher for nearly 15 years and I specialised in conducting general skills classes, but most of my teaching experience revolved around exam preparation, most notably the IELTS exam, Cambridge (First, Advanced, and Proficiency), OET, and most recently, Duolingo.
I became an English language teacher because I recognise that being able to communicate in this language can provide opportunities to many people. Knowing that I can help someone in their academic or professional endeavour is one of the most rewarding things about what I do.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in English and Literature and worked as a High School English Teacher in the USA. Upon coming to the United Kingdom, I gained a CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and have continuously worked as an English Language Teacher.
I have a very flexible approach to teaching because I recognise that everyone has a unique way of learning English. I use various teaching methods that allow my students to produce the target language they need whether it is through casual conversation, job interview simulations, or English composition.
My sessions are geared towards adults who are aiming to improve their communicative English skills. I am also more than happy to provide tuition to adults who are preparing for an English language exam (IELTS, Cambridge, OET, and Duolingo).
