About NG
I have a degree in translation from l'Institut Superieur de Traducteurs & Interpretes in Brussels (ISTI) and had great exposure to institutional international matters in the first part of my career, then since in London, I put my languages at the service of various corporations across many scientific and technical fields.
I can help with perfecting your languages or help with a project that requires advanced technical knowledge of one of my working languages: French, Italian, Spanish and English.

Learning to speak a language is not comparable to learning history or geography. The technical knowledge of grammar will only help if it can feed on a fertile ground of matured neuro-linguistic reflexes relevant to the language you study.
Learning to speak as a kid, one naturally taps into the ancestral mechanism that is responsible for the acquisition of your mother-tongue that is why we speak with the accent we hear growing up. Part of my job would be to stimulate that ancestral process.
A bit like swimming, driving or building flat-pack furniture, reading the instructions is only part of the story. Indeed grammar helps your writing, but only if you manage to integrate the already existing linguistic bulb into the speaking habits of the new language and progress from clumsy coordinated stuttering into fluent integration. You will witness some true results that will nevertheless be proportionally dependent on how much time you are willing to dedicate to this lifelong asset.
This is why learning a language to full fluency requires both intellectual work and practical training. This doesn't mean the process has to be tedious, on the contrary, the more you manage to stimulate a genuine interest, the more your memory fixation will happen with little effort.
That is why I usually tailor my courses to the student's personal interests, it works whether you like music, movies, genetics or structural engineering.
But make no mistake, learning a language is a marathon, it takes years because it involves an actual physical change in your brain, sometimes you will bottom up and need to take a break as it is an ongoing lifetime process.
Frankly the hard part of my job is to keep you motivated, teaching you grammar being the easy part.
