About Katie
My teaching philosophy is to develop the full potential of each and every student by building their confidence, nurturing their love of the arts, and allowing them to express themselves in a safe and positive environment. I have a great deal of patience and understanding, and am extremely passionate about teaching people and helping them grow artistically.
I am trained in Opera, Musical Theatre, and Jazz, which makes me an extremely versatile and well-rounded teacher. This enables me to help my students with any style they desire to learn more about, allowing them to cross between multiple genres of music to become a truly multitalented artist. I also incorporate and draw upon the importance of the Alexander Technique in my lessons to build a strong foundation of breath support and connection within one’s body. Acting is also of upmost importance, and I love breaking down the text with my students to discover many new and exciting moments together.
In addition to being a teacher, I am also a Professional Singer and Actor, having lead Principal Roles in numerous Off Broadway productions, Andrew Lloyd's Touring Production of Cats, headlined on the Oasis of the Seas as a Lead Vocalist with the house band, and have toured all over the world singing and dancing with the USO Show Troupe, as well as many professional concert gigs. I've also traveled the world singing Opera/Operetta and have a M.M. in Vocal Performance from Mannes School of Music. Before Covid, I was working on a new Broadway Out of Town tryout production. I also have many Commercial and TV Credits and can assist with that medium as well. Feel free to have a look at my Musical Theatre Reel- (concealed information)
Being an artist is all about creativity, and I look forward to cultivating the talent of each and every one of my students in their lessons with a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a true passion for teaching. Thank you for considering me, and I hope we can work together in the near future.

Katie coached me for my AMDA audition via Zoom and I got in!! She is an all encompassing voice teacher and acting coach. Not only does she work vocal technique, but she focuses on the acting and all the tiny nuances. She is an audition wizard!
Katie really helped me expand my range and open up my voice to its full power. I loved that she was so versatile in style and we worked technique and acting in musical theatre, as well as jazz, pop, and classical operetta. I felt very comfortable with her and loved our Zoom lessons.
Katie was extremely kind and patient. She created a very safe space for me to open up and be creative. My voice has never felt so free. Her acting tips were outstanding. She is so knowledgeable from all of her training and professional experience.
