I enjoy the process of my work. Watching a the full bloom of a play evolve through the rehearsal process. Watching actors, especially beginners walk into the room with a sense of shyness. Once I've given them the needed tools, they will soon display amazing self-esteem, confidence, articulation and the art of listening as an actor or any other occupation.

Terrence Spivey is an inspiring and passionate teacher with great talent as an actor and mime artist and particularly as a teacher who makes the difficult feel easy and do-able. He got a group of 12 or more men who are incarcerated (several of whom -- but not all -- are fairly experienced amateur actors in a prison theatre program) performing mime and elaborate pantomimes within two hours. Everyone thought it was a peak experience in their lives. One prison official there said later it was the best program presented in a prison that he has seen in 13 years. Terrence Spivey is a wonder!
The workshop was a great experience to read multiple plays and also networking with other artists.
