About Bruce
Oscar 41 Aviators is a flying club located on a beautiful, peaceful, private owned, public use airport 5 miles west of Woodland, CA.
Friendly, relaxed atomosphere where you can realize your dream of learning to fly or add to your flying skills in the company of folks who love aviation.
Well cared for and well equipped aircraft with modern avionics available for rent. Experienced instructors listen and tailor a plan of study to your needs.
Meeting great people and helping them achieve their dreams of flight and the freedom of personaltravel by general aviation aircraft.
I really enjoy participating in the learning process and making lifetime friendships with my students.
I have been flying professionally for well over 40 years, soloed when I was 16 years old and now have over 14,000 hours of flight experience in a range of aircraft from light pistons to corporate jets.

Following undergraduate work at UCSD in Biology and Economics, I recieved a B.S. degree in Aeronautical Operations with a Business Minor from San Jose State University.
My FAA flying credentials include Airline Transport Pilot Rating, Certified Flight Instructor Aircraft Single, Multi and Instrument. Aircraft Type Ratings include 300 King Air Turboprop, HS-125 (Hawker Jet), Cessna 500 series (Citation Jet), Citation 560XL (midsize Citation), Honda Jet HA420.
I have experience in various glass cockpit avionics packages including Garmin G-1000, G-3000, GTN 530/430 WAAS, GTN 750/650, G5 and G500/600 EFIS, Collins Proline 21.
Lighter aircraft types include Beech Bonanza series, Baron Series, King Air Series, Cirrus, etc.

If you are new to Aviation, schedule a discovery flight. We will sit down and talk about your interest in learning to fly, answer questions about the process, talk about the basics of how an airplane flies, perform a walk around inspection of the airplane, and then go for a half hour flight with you at the controls (helped and coached by your flight instructor).
