About Akeelah
Hello, My name is Akeelah and I've been a nurse for 10 years. I started out as a pharmacy tech for 5 years, then becoming an LPN for 9 years, and achieved my RN in 2021. I'm currently enrolled in a BSN program as well. My goal is to become a nursing professor, so I decieded to start off tutoring nursing students. I've worked in a variety of places such as skilled care/rehab, assisted living/memory care, home health, occupational health, etc. I'm here to help anyone get through nursing school anyway I can.
I enjoy teaching students the nursing process and how it relates to real life scenarios. It isn't all about the books and sometimes the books won't be the only thing that helps you succeed when it comes to working as a nurse in the real world. I enjoy knowing I helped someone succeed because in today's world, nursing is getting harder and harder and I feel fellow nurses can give back to new nurses or nursing students with various years of experience.
I graduated with my LPN in 2012 from Beckfied College. I graduated with my RN from Galen College of Nursing in 2021. I'm currently enrolled at Capella University for my BSN. I have over 10 years of nursing experience in different clinical settings.
