About Albert
I've been tutoring math (for both the SAT and for school classes) and computer science for a year now, and I am an astrophysics major at UCSD. On the SAT I received an 800 on math, on the Math 2 subject test I received an 800, and on the Physics subject test I received a 770.
In the span of the first 3 months, I'd taught my students about half a year's worth of math material and an AP course's worth of programming with all of my students ending up with average proficiency in both areas. Though inexperienced compared to other tutors, I am sure that I can connect to high school students better as I'm around the same age as them.
The problem solving and analytical aspects of these fields are what catch my interest. I find breaking down problems into smaller pieces to be a very involved but enlightening process, so I can always figure out and provide explanations.
