About Austin
As a college student, I understand how frustrating it is to be sitting in class and not understand a single thing the teacher is talking about. I also understand how frustrating it is to think that you know something well enough for an exam only to get your test results back and see other wise. I want to help you. I want to make sure that you are 100% confident in the material and prepared for your next exam.
Teaching is one of those things that I didn't discover a love for until my freshman year of college. My friends came to me often asking me to teach them things that the professor had gone over in class or that they didnt understand. I found myself enjoying teaching them and watching them understand what they were learning. For that reason, I decided to expand my knowledge and reach out to other people who might need help in their classes. I will be starting a learning assistant position in the fall for our college biology classes after applying and being accepted for my academic standing in the classes and my passion for teaching.
Teaching was not something I ever thought about doing initially. I discovered my love for teaching through teaching my friends and tutoring them. I also am very creative and like to figure out unique and creative ways to understand something. I hate boring lessons, so its my goal to make your tutoring session as fun and unique as possible.
I am currently a student at Colorado State University studying Zoology. I am also studying to apply to Vet school. I will be beginning employment at my school as a learning assistant (tutor) for some of our biology programs in the fall. I was accepted for good academics and my passion for teaching.

When working with a new student, I find it very common for them to seem a little bit nervous or intimidated at frist. However, I try and help them break out of that shell. My biggest thing is, I dont want any student to feel that any of their questions or concerns about a topic are invalid. Im a strong believe that no question is a bad question, all questions lead to something being known and discovered.
