I have been taking Donna's Pastel classes for about 10 years. She has a wealth of experience and is an extremely talented artist. She is so patient and is such an encourager. She has taught me everything I know about painting with Pastels and I have gone on to exhibit and sell my artwork in several galleries and gift shops. Pastels are pure pigment held together with a binder. Her technique of using pastels in bold and vibrant colors with realism is what makes her paintings so beautiful! I would recommend Donna as an outstanding teacher in her field!!

Donna has taught me to work with pastels. She has taught me to use shadows and lights effectively. I have learned to use the brilliant pastels by attending her classes over the last 10 years. She explains different techniques very clearly and is able to demonstrate those techniques, also. Her painting skills and teaching skills are truly a learning experience for me.

Donna's quiet approach to helping students is (my opinion) the best way. No grabbing of pastel and "fixing", but saying what would look more effective. I have been in her pastel class since its beginning, in 1999.
