About Mike
My personal approach finds what works best for YOU. I don’t do group lessons or use any cookie cutter method because we are not cookies and most importantly we need to find all those unique qualities that only you bring to this world.
Volunteering for summer workshops, friends and family, knowing I was an artist recommended me to others.
I have an associate degree from the Art Institute of Houston, fine arts experience with galleries, art directors, private commissions. I have worked and lived in several art communes, exhibitions from museums to small galleries, selected group shows. Over the last 30 years I have extensive design experience that carries over into the digital media.

My goal is to:
- keep you inspired and get you “seeing” the world as your subject
- introduce you to learning about amazing artists that make it all look too easy
-give you direction that I feel will bring you confidence.
Some of my previous students from this website were retired seniors, motivated individuals with new inspiration for the arts, kids as young as 7 (must be accompanied by parent) college age..
Well, I encourage students to paint and draw every day. Set a goal, be realistic. Join artist groups because the camaraderie is very important. Stay inspired!
