Evan is a terrific drum teacher for our two sons. My youngest is a beginner; Evan has structured lessons for him but definitely encourages creativity. My oldest is in a band at school and Evan is great at reinforcing the style of music that he plays at school (mostly jazz) and teaching other styles that my son enjoys playing (mostly rock). He is organized, dependable, and easy going. He is flexible when we have conflicts. Most importantly, not only does he have great skill but he has a great demeanor for teaching: he is kind, encouraging, and has a good sense of humor. Highly recommend him!

Hunter loves his teacher, we are very happy with him. He is good at teaching the fundamentals of music theory, like notation and scales but also keeps it relevant and fun. He asks Hunter what type of music he's into so that it isn't a chore to practice- it is pretty cool that a 10 year old is playing The White Stripes!
