About Meghan
I am a former elementary school teacher. I have taught kindergarten and 1st grade in the last five years. My specialty is in Reading and Math on the elementary level. I will spend time getting to know your child's skills and help improve them.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.
I love working with kids. I love seeing the "light bulb" moment when students understand a concept for the first time. With tutoring, I get to see so many "light bulb" moments.

When working with a new student, I will start by getting to the know the student's likes/dislikes and building a rapport. The students need to trust the tutor, in order to want to learn the material being taught. During the interview, I would ask if there are any accommodations needed, where the student is struggling and we set a goal for the next session.
