About Henry

I have been teaching English for over six years. I have mainly been teaching in Taipei and recently switched to teaching online. I have taught middle and elementary school students, college students, businesspeople, and CEO's. I have a degree from UC Berkeley, and a CELTA certification from Cambridge. I'm most proud of helping my students achieve their goals in English by creating lessons that fit their interests and personality.

I began by tutoring kids when I was in Jr. High school. During my biotech career I tought all of the new people how to use the equipment and systems on the job. In 2015 I decided to try out teaching English, got my CELTA cirtification, and I have been teaching English since then.

I have a BA from UC Berkeley.

Whe I meet a new student I like to chat with them for ten to fifteen minutes to understand their level of English, why they are interested in hireing me, and to talk about what they are intereste in. This gives me a rough idea of how to proceed with the class.

All of my students have been ESL students from various countries ranging in age from theree years old to sixty.
