About Sierra

Hi! My name is Sierra, and I am a 2019 graduate from Clarkston High School and am looking to help children and teens with their English assignments and comprehension during this pandemic! I am new to online tutoring however I am the oldest of 5 siblings, therefore teaching others is definitely in my wheelhouse!

While I am new to oline tutoring, I did graduate from high school with honors. I took full IB (comparable to AP) my Junior and Senior year and in previous years I booked my schedule with honors and accelerated classes! I was in 7 clubs both my Jun. and Sen. year including: S.A.D.D. Club (Students Against Destructive Decicions), NHS (National Honors Society), WIT (Womens Issues Today), Poetry Club, French Club, Drama Club, and BuildOn! In high school I also volunteered to help elemetry students with their writing and reading for the magazine Kid's Standard! My writing and poetry have been published in news articles, books, and I have performed my poetry pieces at local poetry slams and events! In addiotion, I also volunteer every summer as a camp counselor for "Camp Invention" where I have gained much experince working one on one with elementary and middle school aged children!

My hope is even though my qualifications aren't very astounding, that you would take the time to consider me to tutor your child as I am in the position as a recent graduate to offer real, and helpful advice and experiences as well as form a healthy tutor child relationship as I have had much experience working with and helping children! Thank you for your consideration!

I took rigorous courses while in junior high and high school which helped to prepare me to help my siblings, and other family members with thier school work. I am a published author and have presented my poetry in multiple settings. In addition, I have tutored children before and have also worked as a camp counselor for multiple years so I am well suited in teaching and helping children and teens.

I always ask what their struggles are. It is much more effective to find the problems then approach a solution rather than blindly theorizing a solution based on an unknown problem.
