About Alexander
When not tutoring, I am an actor and writer. After graduating from a Music degree at Manchester University, I went on to study at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. I have taught as a private tutor for five years and gained plenty of experience along the way, learning a lot from my students as well as helping them achieve their goals. I cover the broad range of the curriculum, while also tailoring my teaching to fit with specific school entrance exams. I have experience in exam preparation, including interview technique.

The starting point for all my lessons is the young person, establishing their specific needs and working out together how we can address these. I know that in many instances, it is often about helping students observe a challenge in a new or different way to help them overcome it. Beyond this, I believe in the importance of building confidence, and so always take a positive attitude into any lesson. I have a wide range of teaching experience to draw on: private tutoring, voice coaching for performers and business people, and teaching and directing at conservatoires.
