About KEVIN
I strive to encourage my students to be the best they can be. Through my guidance, I hope to give my students the building blocks to become a great performer. I have had students make the top bands in their county as well as the state level.
I enjoy helping students find their niche. Helping them become the best that they can be through performance and teaching. I've spent years trying to become the best horn player I can be and want to pass my knowledge along to the younger generation and see them succeed in life.
I got started teaching after being asked to help some students of one of my colleagues. I started out with one horn student who wanted to better his playing then it led to his brother wanting trumpet lessons after seeing the success his brother was having. I went on to help his horn students at the school he taught. Some time after I received a random phone call from a student's mother asking about lessons, and so I was able to provide lessons to the student.
I currently hold both a bachelor of music and master of music degree.

Working with new students can be challenging, so I tend to make goals for each time we meet. I do so by having the student play with music they are familiar with so I can hear how they sound and what can be worked on. Then I write down the things that we went over in that lesson and make a plan for the next time we met.
So far I have worked with students in both middle and high school, as well as children up to age seven in an academy program.
The best way to contact me is through email and I will usually follow up with a meeting time to have a phone call.
One recent event I am fond of and grateful to have had was performing for a musical. The musical was Big Fish and it was a blast.
