About Brian
In addition to tutoring for AP Human Geography and AP US History, I am also a current teacher of these two subjects at a public high school in California. I have been an educator for eight years, providing my students with a well-rounded and comprehensive education. With a major in History, I bring a depth of knowledge and passion for the subject that inspires and motivates students to learn and succeed. I also earned a Master's Degree in Education Curriculum and Technology.
My goals as a tutor are not only to help my students become more proficient in the target subject but more importantly, they will "learn how to learn" and become a more savvy, self-guided student. By providing them with the most effective and efficient learning strategies, they can not only succeed in their AP exams but also apply their newfound knowledge to their future academic endeavors. I want my students to be confident and independent learners who can tackle any challenge that comes their way.
In addition to my teaching and tutoring goals, I also strive to instill a love for learning and critical thinking in my students. I want them to see the world around them with a historical and geographic lens, allowing them to analyze and interpret the past and present. With my guidance, students will not only be prepared for their exams but also for life beyond the classroom.
