What I enjoy about working with Hollywood sports psychology is that it is specific to areas that need improvement within one’s game. Coach has put me In a position to achieve at my D2 school in football at SMSU. And has helped me become an all around athlete. Now in the areas I used to struggle in, such as footwork, hip flexibility, and hand placement, I can say that I am fully adapted to my position specific movements, thanks to Hollywood Sports & Psychology.

Derek was my first position coach in the U.S. I’ve been in the U.S for 4 years and my first season with Derek was one I’ll never forget. He thought us how to deal with mentall toughness, he pushed us into believing that you can do anything if you put your mind to it. Even if your body is giving up. I earned honorable mention all conference playing for him and I end up at Morgan State which is a D1 school located in Baltimore, MD. I appreciate him for helping me get to this level. I handle my self here very well and part of that is because of the preparation I went through with Derek

He was one of my Junior College Football coaches, and his tips to increase my strength, speed, mobility, sleep, etc. are second to none. His teachings helped me move on to Valparaiso University and play at the Division 1 Level. Anytime I would have a question about the mind, body or anything relating to football , he was one of the people I would go to with confidence I was going to learn something new and helpful. Coach Hursch's Leadership and knowledge helped me get to where I am and I can say with 100% certainty it can help any and every client who wants to improve their performance or lifestyle.

Coach Hursch is a man that always emphasizes technique and 110% effort. He was my D Line coach at COS, and not a single day went by where he didn’t bring the intensity and leadership needed to bring us together and set us straight. He’s a man who I believe is a valuable asset to any program lucky enough to have him. Besides being a phenomenal coach and leader on and off the field, he showed an exemplary level of love and caring for us. I once asked coach if he would be willing to give me some extra coaching with my technique, and advice on mental strength. Without hesitation he began to explain what steps I needed to take to improve myself, and became someone I knew I could always trust and follow.

I believe it is an indisputable fact that he will help develop and positively change any program he is associated with.

The best thing that I liked working with Hollywood Sport & Psychology is the adversity that they put me through! They pushed me to the limit that I thought I couldn’t reach and it was truly a game changer! They are very flexible to exercises to incorporate to your comfort and they are flexible to work on the things that you are not use to! Coach Hursch was my football coach at my junior college in 2020. I’ve never had a coach that had narrowed all of the things he had us do to a science like him. Not only did he improve me physically but he helped me mentally with stressing the importance of exercising mental health and reading books. Thanks to him I was able to have a very successful career at that school and I now play football at Southern Oregon University

Training was tough, but necessary. Derek pushed my limits mentally and physically, demonstrated knowledge of training specifics, and is a reliable trainer

For me personally, it was exactly what I needed! I like to pride myself for have such a great work ethic and being a DOG mentality on the FB field but I had to be developed first. Since working with Hollywood sports I’ve gone on to becoming a D2 All-American DT, played in FBS All-American Senior bowl, attended the National scouting combine, Spring league and CFL.

The experience I had was great, as Hurshman was my college Defensive Line coach at college of the Siskiyous. During my time with Hurshman he pushed me not only on the field to be a better athlete but was also great at helping his players get a better understanding for the way the think and why they think the way they do in certain situations. During my time at College of the Siskiyous I earned 1st team All NorCal Defensive End. I later earned a full scholarship to play football at Montana State university who is currently Top 3 in Division 1 FCS. Huge props to Derek Hurshman as he was a major role in getting me to the next level.

I was looking to lose weight and stay functionally strong after my D1 college football and pro football career. Coach Hursch helped me drop 30-40 pounds by cutting out processed foods and eating more natural. He gave me workouts to do that would help keep me strong but not the type of power lifting I once had to do. He helped me strengthen my core tremendously. I've worked with trainers and nutritionists from every level (SEC, NFL, CFL) and I trust him as much as I trust any of them. I currently coach college football and encourage my athletes to use some of the same techniques he taught me.
