I had Hogan as a math teacher in high school and he was great! No matter what level you learned on he was able to teach up to it or down to it. Whatever you needed he had many ways to explain things and would always take the extra time to make sure you knew it. He is a smart smart guy and also just a great person in general! Mr. Hogan was, by far, the most encouraging math teacher I've ever had. He teaches in a way that is relatable and easy to understand. I grew up with ADHD and struggled in math. I participated in tutoring quite often to stay on the same page as the rest of the class. One day, Mr. Hogan called me to stay after his class. I panicked of course, furiously searching for a reason why I could possibly be in trouble. But I wasn't in trouble, he simply wanted to commend me for working so hard; I had actually become a top student in his class. I am thankful to Mr. Hogan for believing in me and caring about his students. I have had many math teachers, and he is definitely one of a kind.

Mr Hogan is a great teacher. He doesn't teach memorization, but instead teaches how to study. This is a much more valuable lesson that will carry you through all courses. He also has the ability to explain any subject in a way that anyone can understand. If you ever don't understand you just have to ask and he will continue to explain it in different way until you grasp the concept. The most valuable lesson is to not be afraid to ask questions.
