About Adam
Hi! My name is Adam. I am a top 10 high school graduate with a perfect 4.0 unweighted GPA. I have a very good conceptual understanding of the subjects I tutor and am extremely patient. I understand that everyone needs help with something at some point and am here to help! Beyond teaching the academic subjects, I am very socially adept and can get along well with your child and give studying advice as well as overall advice.
I finished high school math during my sophomore year and have always helped my peers and scored 5s on AP calculus AB and BC. I offer math tutoring from the most basic level up to the AB level as well as English. Please contact me through text at (concealed information) if interested
I have always been told I have a great way of getting my point across (I've done a few public speaking competitions) and that I understand things very well conceptually which lets me relay information through creative anologies or angles. Because of this, I have always been teaching those around me that may not understand. Conversely, I am a great listener and learner. Half of teaching is being able to learn yourself. I am still a young student as well but I hope to bring others up as they move through primary education. You could just I got started teaching because I felt like being helpful to those around me.
I have tutored peers and underclassman within my school through school-based programs. I have just graduated high-school but this can be seen as a plus because someone young like me might have a better chance of understanding and seeing problems from your student's perspective!

First I need to assess the learning style of your student. Some people learn better in different ways and it's important that I understand this so that your student's time is well spent and not in frustration.
After that is established, if there are holes in your students' conceptual understanding I would like to address those first. For example, a misunderstanding in how exponents operate is best addressed as early as possible because they are used frequently and most by operated on quickly in higher levels such as calculus.
If there are no holes and/or your student is having trouble understanding new content, I will do my best to teach it to them based on how they learn. If it isn't quite clicking, I like to work patiently to make sure they gradually understand by explaining similar or smaller concepts they can grasp.
I've worked with all kinds of students as I used to tutor at my school; and where else has such a diverse population of students than a public school? I've mostly worked with middle school and high school level students but am willing to work with elementary level students. I have worked with all levels of understanding and aptitude from students that just need something cleared up to students that need more explanation.
Just give me a chance and I'll give you plenty of chances. Be willing to learn and me or any teacher will be there to guide you. You have to put in the work too. I'll meet you halfway!
