About Trevor
I’ve been a public school teacher for 10 years. Three years teaching kindergarten through high school music, and 7 years in high school algebra and geometry.
I am state certified in both secondary math, and instrumental music education. I’ve learned very well to relate to the struggle of learning this content for the first time, and I enjoy helping students overcome those struggles.
Seeing students become empowered and motivated to do well.
I am currently a high school Algebra 1/2, Geometry teacher. I have a Bachelor Of Arts degree in secondary education, with an emphasis in instrumental music and a minor in mathematics. I have a Master Of Arts degree in curriculum and instruction. I also have over 300 documented hours of miscellaneous professional development training relating to various disciplines of education.

I’ve done away with comprehensive preassessments, I can gauge everything that I need to know about a student’s current level and prior learning with some well targeted probing questions. I like to just dive right in with whatever they are currently working on and diagnose where the hang up is.
