About Spencer
I started teaching by being asked to train live sound engineers already in the field to improve their practices and on how to use their equipment better as a live sound engineer 5 years ago.
I have a bachelors in music production and engineering from Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. I have also worked and studied under some of the top grammy award winning producers and engineers in the field.

I begin courses by checking with the student and talking about what their goals are in audio and music production. Then I will set up a course syllabus to address the fundamental ideas needed to get to their goals. Then we will have 30 minute trial lesson. If the student is happy with the curriculum and my teaching style then we can make a schedule based on the curriculum.
I will provide homework each week so the student can practice and progress towards their intended goals.
I have taught private lessons to musicians, other engineers, film crew editors, videographers, production teams, mathematicians, and life long learners.
I reccomend you ask about all the possible options of doing a task in audio and also ask if there is a better method of trying a task when you are starting with a teacher. There are many ways of looking at audio as an engineer and a good engineer or producer knows every creative situation may require a different approach.
A engineer or production teacher who has worked in many facets of audio will be able to teach you working methods that translate to more mediums of audio production.
I recently did sound design on this song. I had lots of fun. While co producing this track with the artist I added tons of sound spaces.
