Experienced tutor in Painting in Jupiter, Cherie offers private lessons tailored to your needs.

I like that she offers both small intimate group and private lessons, both very affordable. The lessons were via Zoom, but are also available in a patio setting at her home. The small groups allow others to gain insight and learn from the group. Cherie is so patient and offers specific details in advance as to what the lessons will cover and what supplies are needed. It is so exciting to be able to learn to create beautiful paintings, and most of the time the finished art is fully created by the end of the lesson. To have a major in Fine Art from Florida State for a teacher is truly an advantage for her students. Becoming her student (and I was an absolute beginner) during the beginning of the pandemic, helped me to relax and gave me a hobby as I had just retired and had none. I got excited about the image I would be striving to create. I loved learning how to combine colors , and the hopes that I would create a finished piece of art that I would be proud to display or give as a gift. I highly recommend Cherie if you are considering art lessons for you or your family. They make great gifts to encourage creativity

she is an excellent teacher and very well organized. Great prices too

I've taken a few classes with Cherie Blickenstaff/Tropical Impressions during the Corona pandemic via Zoom. You'd think it's hard to do online painting classes instead of in person, but Cherie is able to keep your attention and make the class a lot of fun. Everything is well prepared (supply list, drawing to trace onto paper or canvas), she paints step by step and explains everything very well! I was a newbie with watercolors and really enjoyed the classes and now we are doing a tropical landscape in acrylic. She is also very flexible with the timing. I highly recommend these classes.

I have taken several classes with Cherie from Tropical Impressions. I have enjoyed each class and have learned a lot about working with both watercolors and acrylics. Cherie is very patient and walks you through each process step-by-step. She is always very professional, and very friendly and inviting. She takes time to answer any questions one may have and her classes are conducive to learning and enjoying the experience.
Especially during these difficult times with Covid, the classes with Cherie and other students provide a wonderful outlet and encourage creativity.
