I'm a freshman at an engineering college in India. You could say I'm good at learning, I've got good grades in my board exams (class 10-97% and class 12-96%). But more than academics my interests have always been about the world I live in. I started reading newspapers and books at an early age, which I think made a huge difference in my life and the way I think. When I was in middle school, I had so many questions buzzling in my mind, why is the sky blue, why is the sun orange in color sometimes, how do I know that I’m real and not just a dream of someone else, why does it appear like the moon follows me wherever I go, do I have freewill, do other people actually exist, why does the ocean appear blue, but the water in my hand transparent, why am I righthanded, etc. So did my peers. But as I progressed through high school and puberty that curiosity in me and my peers somewhat died. Something happened between those years that made me ask less questions as I grew older; the education system killed the curiosity in me to a certain extent. I'm here to make sure that doesn't happen with you. I teach school children and early high schoolers, and I teach only when I know I can make the topic interesting. So, I'll be a little bit restrictive on the topics I'd choose to teach, therefore please communicate that earlier to me. Every time, I teach you I'll make sure that I speak about interesting topics that are not prescribed in your syllabus. Remember, a wise person always beats a well-educated man.
I started reading newspapers when I was of the age 9, Even if you don't hire me, I'd love for you to take this one point and adopt it in your life. Read Newspapers!! Cuz trust me, the intellectual maturity you get by reading newspapers is just unparalleled.
Baudelaire said that genius is just childhood rediscovered at will...I'll see to that the childish inquisitiveness that you have in you stays alive...
