About Sophie
Sophie has had a lifelong passion for living a healthy and active lifestyle beginning in high school she was on the school’s swim and tennis team and from there becoming a lifelong mover as she explores the great outdoors cycling, hiking, backpacking and kayaking with her husband and huskies. Her passion for a healthy active lifestyle is contagious as she believes in quality years of life and has a strong desire to help others be the best they can be within their own lives! She specializes in folks who have specific chronic conditions and illnesses including post-surgical patients minimizing physical, emotional and psychological symptoms that people experience throughout life. She provides a safe, positive environment with ample amount of encouragement and motivation as the glass will always be half full in her mind leaving you with only one option, success as the end result!
Sophie’s educational background includes a BS in Physical Education K-12 / Adult Fitness from Metropolitan State University of Denver and a MA in Pedagogy, from the University of Northern Colorado. Sophie has since earned several national certifications including an ACSM –Exercise Physiologist, Exercise is Medicine Level II credential, she is a certified Health and Wellness Coach and Sports Nutritionist for Health professionals. She has had several previous opportunities to work with diverse populations in the arena of Silver Sneakers, Arthritis, Spinning and Water Aerobics/Exercise.
Sophie currently is a Medical Fitness Specialist and Health and Wellness Coach helping people with their struggles in the area of fitness, nutriton, stress management, goals and sleep and weight loss under the guidance of Dr. Hopp and can be reached at (concealed information) or (concealed information)
