I have training and teaching experience teaching children and adults of all ages so no need for gimmicks or short cuts. I want to produce students who play accurately and wonderfully expressively. I want them to be independent enough to figure out how to play familiar as well as unfamiliar music, both by ear and through reading musical notation. I want them to be intelligent musicians, able to understand and describe music they are hearing.

Children, teenagers and adults.
Take the time to find a teacher that has a experience teaching piano lessons and has the education required to teach piano lessons. Just because someone is a music major in another instrument does not mean they are qualified to teach piano. It is important to discuss these things with your prospective teacher. I will be happy to answer any questions.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Do they want to make the commitment to practicing everyday their lesson assignments? Do the parents want to take an encouraging role in helping to motivate your child to practice? What are your expectations and desired outcomes for taking piano lessons?

She is a wonderful teacher. Wants the best from her students and usually gets that back from them.
My son has been taking lessons with Belinda for 6 years and we have been very satisfied with her studio. She is extremely organized and professional. She values others' time and has never cancelled without advance notice. My son really enjoys his lessons with her and we feel that the drive across town is worth it. He has learned music theory as well as songs and can confidently perform in front of an audience thanks to her. I highly recommend Belinda Butler's Piano Studio!
Two of our children take lessons with Ms. Butler. One child is advanced and one is a beginner. She works well with them both; providing solid instruction and fun. Under her instruction for the past 2 years, we’ve seen musical growth in both of our children.
Ms Belinda is very patient and kind. My daughter has been taking lessons from her for almost five years. She is a great teacher!!!
She is patient and kind. Belinda is my biggest cheerleader. Also as an adult learner, Belinda understands there are weeks where I may not be able to practice as often as I would like. She understands slow and steady in regards to learning styles.
Both my children have been fortunate to have had Belinda as their piano teacher. Our 10 year old has grown and continues to learn and improve. Our older daughter received a great foundation and still plays in her spare time now in college.
