About Adele
Hello
My name is Adele Dominguez, but most of my students know me as “Miss Adele,” or "Miss Grabowski" (my maiden name), and I love to sing and play piano!
I learned the basics of singing and piano when I was a young child in a musical family, and once I began taking lessons of my own, music became my second language. Soon after I began to sing and play piano, my teachers entered me in singing and piano competitions, and I began competing on the local level. Success at an early age opened the door to national and even international competitions and performance opportunities later in my life. Although I’ve since put down roots in Southern California with my husband, daughter, and sweet Toxirn terrier, Nova, I still love to sing and play piano. These days I prefer performing locally and giving back to my community through teaching. If you ever want to know about my experiences singing abroad, for example in Germany and India, just ask!
I began teaching singing when I was still a student in college at Yale, where I later received my Masters in Music in Voice in 2017. In the years since, I taught K-8 music lessons in a private school setting, including 1:1 and group after school singing and piano lessons. Although fairly new to the teaching world, I believe I have begun to cultivate a passion for singing and piano in my students.
In the 4 years I've taught singing and piano, I’ve been fortunate to teach a wide range of singing styles including Classical, Operatic, and Musical Theater styles of singing, as well as the Suzuki method for beginner piano students. I incorporate wisdom from the Szamosi approach and Dalcroze eurythmics into my singing instruction, both of which I have studied extensively. Along the way, I realized that I really enjoy teaching, so much so that, as mentioned above, I became a K-8 music teacher before our daughter was born. I now am exclusively teaching private singing and piano lessons virtually and in person from my home in Solana Beach, CA with the assistance of my cherished Steinway studio piano.
Solana Steinway Singing and Piano (otherwise known as Solana Steinway Music Lessons) wants to help you be the musician you want to be. I welcome the opportunity to help you reach your personal goals whether you are a first time pianist learning for fun, or an experienced Classical singer looking to brush up your technique for your next audition or competition. Solana Steinway Singing and Piano is here to help grow your passion for music that lasts a lifetime.
I enjoy helping my students grow passionate about music and encouraging them to overcome obstacles by obtaining the necessary skills to achieve their musical goals!

It's important to note (pun intended) that a teacher student relationship isn't just about passing along skills and information, but feeling comfortable expressing your personal goals as a musician. Not all personalities complement one another, and it's important to choose a teacher that is right for you!
My toddler has taken to playing her little toy piano. She is so precious!
