20+ years in the industry. Doesn't feel that long and I have not lost the love or passion for what I do. I've surrounded myself with a collective of very talented writers, producers, directors, DP's, and artists that have worked with me 10+ years . We are a multiple Emmy winning, high-level pre-production, production, and post-production house that can provide high-end production value video content.
Jason Van Sickel
A traditionally trained artist (pencil/pen & ink/painting/sculpture), I have been involved in the arts in one form or another for 20+ years. From illustrating to photography to motion-picture film to HD/4K/8K video, everything I do is rooted with an artist's eye.
I've led scores of production teams, managed sets, produced many TV pilots, commercials, industrials, corporate communications, documentaries, features and short films and more. I've led as a VP of Marketing, VP of Business Development, National Production Manager, Educator/Mentor... but, titles aren't everything.
I continue to seek out and work with individuals and companies who want something non-traditional. A final product above and beyond expectation. Something that stems from left-field and beyond. I also seek to share my knowledge with others. I have been continuing my mentorship and advanced workshops based on demand.
My work history has been extremely varied. From an ice sculptor apprentice with 8-Time Olympian to learning how to campaign Direct Response Infomercials from a founding father of DR. I've learned some hard lessons in the start-up community in the late 90's before the internet bubble popped. I've lead the call as a VP of Marketing & Production for TWL Studios aka Primedia (one of the largest producers of educational content for medical/fire/police/governmental sectors. Over 200,000 sq ft of studio space.), VP of Business Development for an internet start-up focusing on Interactive Television (AOL TV, Microsoft's WebTV), a Producer/Director for clients like Frito Lay, EDS, Accor, Mercedes, BMW, National Production Manager for the American Heart Association and built a world class production/post-production studio from ground zero. I've created and led teams producing documentaries, short-form/long-form narratives, and feature length films. I continue to focus on all elements of the art form; illustration, design, writing, producing, directing, shooting, lighting design, editing and graphics. I've been used as a stop gap consultant for clients that need expertise in validation on complex projects by outside vendors.

I've always taught or mentored someone or a group. I put on small group work shops in studio. I taught for 3 years at the LA Film School in California.
I've been in the industry for 20+ years. I've done just about every type or kind of video/film project imaginable. From commercials to corporate to infomercials to short films to features, television and more.

All kinds. From ZERO expereince to experts in the industry. Everyone willing to learn, can and will learn.
Advice I'd give students looking for an instructor - make sure the teacher is flexible to your learning style and needs. Ensure they have the tools to teach you. And most importantly, you have to like each other. There's nothing worse than paying for a class/lesson/workshop and you don't like the teacher!

Pricing varies depending on how deep you want to go into the film making process. I specialize in pre-production, production and post-production.
With master level expereince in lighting design and camera operation.
The way I teach is hands on equipment in a working studio. It's like drinking from a fire hose. A lot of info at once but being applied in the teaching session.
Rates from $250 - $5000+ if you want to produce/direct your own short film.
