About Kim
Have you ever wanted to Salsa Dance like the stars, just be able to do the basics on the dance floor, refine the moves you already know, or learn a different Latin dance? Well let me help you realize your dance goals, whatever they maybe. My passion for partner dancing began over 20 years ago when I first started Salsa dancing. I started performing 12 years ago and teaching professionally 8 years ago. I've been blessed in that Salsa dancing has allowed me to travel nationally as well as internationally. During your lesson we will work on connecting to your dance partner, leading and following, spinning technique, footwork, body isolations, floor etiquette, plus both lady's and men's styling. I teach two different styles of Salsa; New York-On-2/Mambo and LA Style-On-1. Lessons are also available in other Latin dances like Bachata and Merengue. I am available for 1-on-1 private lessons for individuals or couples, and semi-private group lessons for students with all skill levels. I teach both leading and following, so don't be shy. No partner is required.
The beautiful community studio has wood floors, is very spacious, and has two sliding glass doors and a large window for ventilation. My beautiful and very friendly cocker spaniel, Princess, attends the lessons and cheers you on from the sidelines. She usually even gives a courtesy 10 minute warning before the lesson is over. Lessons are $75/hr and are typically one hour long, unless other arrangements are made. When you purchase a package of 3 lessons for $195, each class in the pack only ends up costing $65/hr. Salsa and Latin dance lessons also make great gifts, especially to significant others.
