Dr Kalantzi is very patient and instructive. She always encourages and challenging. I have been taking lessons for three years and have learned so much from her. She tries to tailor her lessons to the musical tastes of the student to keep you engaged in the lessons. Dr Kalantzi is a wonderful instructor!

I started lessons with Dr Kalantzi in the fall of 2013 at ASU. I was a 59 year old beginner (with hearing aids). I have taken 1 hour weekly lessons with her ever since (with only summer breaks). Our lessons are now in Mesa. I knew at the start that I was no virtuoso and am somewhat uncoordinated, but what she has been able to teach me is amazing. I have not reached a point where I cannot continue to advance, so I look forward to learning even more and playing better. As a beginner, Dr. Kalantzi started me on Suzuki book 1 (and I initially sounded about as scratchy as possible). I am now in Suzuki book 5, playing selections from the Henle edition of Bach Sonatas and Partitas, and about to start learning the 6th position. She has certainly taught this dog many new tricks.

As an adult learner of violin, I can't imagine a better teacher! Panagiota is very patient, knowledgeable and encouraging. She will take her time and help you with any technique that you might be struggling with. And improvement is a guarantee! If you have always wanted to learn violin, have no fear, with Panagiota it is very enjoyable. 🙂

I am an older beginning cello student with a life-long desire to learn the cello but have no formal music training. I am so fortunate to have Dr. Kalantzi for my instructor. Her infinite knowledge, patience, enthusiasm, humor, and positive attitude always keep me encouraged.

Dr. Kalantzi is flexible in acommendating all of her students' schedules from making more time for them to prepare for auditions to accepting students into her schedule after time away.
