About Alicia
I am a certified* and trauma-informed yoga therapist specializing in working with women and those who identify as women experiencing anxiety and/or pelvic floor issues. I tailor my group classes and yoga therapy sessions to the individual, using traditional yoga practices and modern wellness techniques to meet them where they are and help them create a lifelong wellness/yoga practice that addresses their needs.
*Certified ERT-500, C-IAYT, TIYT with over 1600 hours of training.
I practiced yoga for a couple of years and having experienced the profound benefits, decided I would become an instructor and share it with others.
I am a certified yoga teacher and certified yoga therapist. I have been teaching for 20 years and combined, have over 1500 hours of training, including pelvic floor yoga, trauma informed yoga (anxiety, panic, PTSD) yoga for scoliosis/back pain and yoga for multiple sclerosis.

For group classes I have them schedule online, then come a little early to discuss any questions or concerns and fill out a waiver.
For private clients, we schedule a phone call to discuss the client's needs and how I might best support them. If we decided to work together, we enroll the client and schedule our first session.

All yoga teachers are not the same. Some have only a weekend worth of training (gyms), and the majority only 200 hours (studios). If you are looking for a teacher to help with injury, illness or trauma, please ask questions about their training and experience before hiring them.
