About Sohan
I have postgraduate doctoral qualifications in engineering and I have taught on and off campus. I have evaluated both students and teachers and hence I am well aware of how to teach. I am determined to teach good and respectable spoken Sinhala to children. Sinhala is a well structured language and hence easy to learn. In campus I have been teaching in English but off campus I have taught and explained using both Sinhala and English. I have learnt spoken Japanese when I studied in a leading Japanese University. I have studied the method of their teaching and found that it is the best way to teach Spoken Sinhalese. I use various techniques to teach. Since I have a significant years of experience teaching on various applications I am well aware of the language that should be spoken at different forums. My teaching is to suit speaking appropriately and freely at various forums ranging from, in front of superiors, among friends and when meeting persons who had never been introduced to you before.

The spoken Sinhalese classes are based on conversations and explanations in either English only or using both English and Sinhala. Classes are well structured and focus on topic based learning rather than ad hoc conversations. Support explanations are on a need based approach. Classes will be limited to one hour time slots. Spoken classes will cover mannerisms, languages and the politeness etc. The classes are structured in the same way spoken Japanese are taught to foreigners at the University I studied in Japan. Lessons are flexible for students of any level.
