About Jo
I believe creativity should feel like a space you can safely explore, rather than something you have to be “good at”. My mission is to give people practical tools for navigating the wonderfully undefined nature of creative work: breaking big ideas into tangible steps, experimenting, asking better questions and finding their own way forward.
You might be starting from a blank page, developing an idea you can’t quite shape, feeling stuck in the middle of a project, or simply wanting to understand your own creative process better. Wherever you are, I want our sessions to give you the freedom to think, experiment, change direction and discover what your ideas can become.
I’ve committed the past 15 years to exploring this practice myself, working across art, design, storytelling, film and creative education, and developing and delivering creative projects internationally. Along the way, I’ve built my practice through a Master’s in Artistic Education, Qualified Teacher Status and training in neuroscience-informed creativity coaching. Now I want to share what I’ve learnt to help you find your own way of creating.

**I believe creativity is less about mastering one particular medium and more about learning how to think, experiment and develop ideas.**
Bring me a project, an idea, a creative challenge or simply the curiosity to explore your creative practice. I can offer practical tips and techniques within a specific medium, but we can also step back and explore the creative process itself: questioning assumptions, finding new perspectives, experimenting with possibilities and developing ideas in ways that feel meaningful to you.
There is no one-size-fits-all formula. We’ll shape our sessions around what you’re trying to achieve, whether that means developing an artwork, story, film, design idea, creative business or something that doesn’t fit neatly into one category.
My neuroscience-informed creativity coaching training also allows us to explore how your brain approaches creativity, what can interrupt your flow and how you can create better conditions for your ideas to emerge.
Whether you’re a young person discovering your creative voice, an adult exploring a new direction, an entrepreneur developing an idea, an innovator solving a problem or an experienced creative looking for a fresh perspective, you’ll have space to experiment, question and develop your own way of working.
